Pitru Paksha is the fortnight of the forefathers, when families across India offer shraddha, tarpan and food in honour of those who came before them. At Nandgram Dham the offering is made through Lord Krishna: food is first offered to Him, and that prasadam is then served to children, sadhus and those in need, in your ancestors’ name.

The shastras ask every family to remember its ancestors with offerings of food and water. Srila Prabhupada explains that this is done by worshipping Lord Vishnu, because food first offered to Him becomes prasadam, and prasadam purifies everyone it reaches.

He goes further: “Simply by performing devotional service, one can deliver hundreds and thousands of forefathers from all kinds of misery.” That is why the sevas on this page are all forms of bhakti — feeding the Lord’s devotees, serving His cows, and sharing His prasadam with those who need it.

Pitru Paksha 2026 FAQ

When is Pitru Paksha in 2026?

Pitru Paksha 2026 begins on Saturday, 26 September and ends on Saturday, 10 October with Sarva Pitru Amavasya, the day set aside for all ancestors.

I do not know the tithi on which my ancestor passed away. When should I offer?

Offer on Sarva Pitru Amavasya, 10 October. It is kept for exactly this case, and for remembering all forefathers together. Your offering is just as complete on any other day of the fortnight.

Can I offer in memory of more than one person?

Yes. Write all the names in the “In memory of” box, for example “Late Shri Ramesh Sharma (father) and Late Smt. Kamla Devi (mother)”. The names are kept with your offering.

What will I receive after I donate?

A donation receipt and a seva certificate in your name, both on WhatsApp, usually within a few minutes. For offerings of ₹1,100 and above, Sri Krishna mahaprasadam is also sent to the address you give.

Which payment methods can I use?

UPI, debit and credit cards, net banking and wallets, through CCAvenue’s secure gateway. You can also pay by UPI or bank transfer using the details further down this page.

Can I still offer after Pitru Paksha ends?

Yes. Many families offer these sevas on an ancestor’s death anniversary (punya tithi). The form stays open all year.
