Meditate on Hari who is the sun to Madhwacharya's lotus mind, the pretty one with a blemishless moon-like face, personification of mercy, with a neck like a conch, who never decays, cures all sufferings, and has made Udupi his home.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, whose hands make his amulets shine along with the churn and rope that do good, whose chest is adorned with long garlands of gems and necklaces, who is the total destroyer of sins, who makes wicked people inactive, who can be won over by devotion, and who has made the great Udupi his home.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, whose pretty slender golden belly is bewitching, who grants salvation and wealth to his devotees to provide a personal experience of himself, who is a great lover of Arjuna, a destroyer of wicked people, and lives in the blemish-less Udupi.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, who is graced by a waist belt of golden bells, who cannot be cheated by bad ones, who wears a pearl-inlaid golden cloth around his pretty waist, whose body shines like black clouds, who has thighs like an elephant's trunk, who is free of blemishes, full of bliss and knowledge, and has made the great Udupi his home.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, who has bewitching knees and shanks, who does not give illusion to his devotees but gives it to the wicked, who destroys the darkness of the mind with the luster of his pearl-like nails, who is the storehouse of all good, and who is daily worshipped by his consort Goddess Lakshmi herself in Udupi.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, who by the brightness of his lotus feet brightens even the dense tufts of the prostrating devas, who destroys the evil of the kali age, wears ornaments suitable to a hero and exquisite anklets, resides within our bodies, and made Udupi his home.

Meditate till the end on that Hari, who is far beyond the reach of feeble debaters but gives great happiness to the king of poets who understand holy books, who bestows eternal happiness on devotees, is worshipped by god-like sages, is the storehouse of good, and lives in Udupi which is beyond comparison.

Oh brave man, get rid of all worries by meditating on the full moon-like Achyutha, who is dear to sage Narada, has lotus-like eyes, whose reality is himself alone, who protects his devotees, who is like the moon among star-like lamps, and who has made Dwaraka-like Udupi his home.

This octet pertaining to the cowherd who made the temple of Udupi his home is dear to Lord Hari, removes all sorrows, is full of good qualities, and was composed by Sage Vadhiraja to provide happiness in this world, remove ignorance, and provide blemish-less well-being in the other world.
