Śrī Gadādhara Praṇāma
Gadādharam ahaṁ vande — Obeisances to Śrī Gadādhara Paṇḍita
I bow to Gadādhara, the dear son of Mādhava Ācārya. He is mahābhāva, the highest ecstasy of love, in person, and his form is not different from Śrī Caitanya.
O Gadādhara, obeisances to you. You are the very form of the Lord's pleasure potency, the bosom friend of Gaurāṅga and the one who grants the strength of devotion.
Always I bow to merciful Gadādhara, who is Gāndharvikā, Śrī Rādhā, in another form, and who is the treasure of Gaurāṅga's love.
About Śrī Gadādhara Praṇāma
These verses call Śrī Gadādhara Paṇḍita the form of the Lord's hlādinī, His pleasure potency, and in the third verse Gāndharvikā herself, a name of Śrī Rādhā. Gauḍīya tradition sees him as Śrī Rādhā's own presence beside Lord Caitanya, and the first verse says he is one with the Lord in form. It also names his father, Mādhava Miśra, here honoured as Mādhavācārya. The three verses appear together in Śrī Manohara Bhajana Dīpikā, a Bengali prayer collection compiled by Dīna Narottama dāsa; who first composed them is not known.
