Translation

O Manyu, companion of the Maruts, riding on one chariot with you, breaking through the foe, joyful and bold, may the heroes go forward with sharp arrows and whetted weapons, fiery like Agni in form.

Blazing like fire, O Manyu, overpower the foe; when we call you, O victorious one, be the leader of our army. Slay the enemies and share out their wealth; showing your strength, drive away those who oppose us.

O Manyu, overpower the arrogant foe for us; breaking, crushing and destroying, advance upon the enemies. Surely none could hold back your fierce might; you who are born alone, the master of all, bring them under your control.

You alone, O Manyu, are praised by many; sharpen every clan for battle. With you as our ally, our splendour unbroken, we raise a ringing shout for victory.

Bringer of victory like Indra, never speaking idle words, be our protector here, O Manyu. We sing your beloved name, O victorious one; we know the spring from which you came forth.

Translation

Born together with power, O thunderbolt and arrow, you bear the highest strength, O conqueror. O Manyu, called upon by many, be one with us in purpose in the clash where great wealth is won.

saṁsṛṣṭaṁ dhanam ubhayaṁ samākṛtam asmabhyaṁ dattāṁ varuṇaś ca manyuḥ bhiyaṁ dadhānā hṛdayeṣu śatravaḥ parājitāso apa ni layantām
Translation

May Varuṇa and Manyu give us wealth of both kinds, gathered and stored up. Let the enemies, with fear in their hearts, defeated, slink away and hide.

About Tvayā Manyo Saratham

The second Manyu hymn (Ṛg-veda 10.84) pictures warriors "like fire in form" riding in Manyu's own chariot with sharpened arrows, and calls Manyu the general who divides the spoils and scatters the foe. It closes by asking Manyu and Varuṇa to grant both kinds of wealth and to plant fear in the hearts of the enemy.
