Sri Krsna Caitanya Prabhu Doya Koro More is a direct, urgent prayer for mercy addressed to Lord Caitanya, composed by Srila Narottama dasa Thakura, the only initiated disciple of Srila Lokanatha Gosvami, and the acarya credited with organizing the annual festival gatherings in Bengal that helped keep the Gaudiya Vaishnava community unified in the decades after Caitanya Mahaprabhu's disappearance. The song's reasoning is characteristically Narottama's: since Lord Caitanya's very purpose in appearing was to reclaim the most fallen souls, the singer argues, he cannot be turned away, however unworthy he feels himself to be.
