jaba go vrajendra-pura ha’ba gopīkāra nupura
tāṅdera caraṇe madhura madhura bājava go
vipine vinoda khelā saṅgete rākhālera melā
tāṅdera caraṇera dhulā mākhaba go
jaba go—I will go; vrajendra-pura—the city of the King of Vraja; ha’ba—I will become; gopīkāra—of the gopīs; nupura—the ankle bells; tāṅdera—their; caraṇe—on the feet; madhura madhura—sweetly; bājava go—tinkling sound; vipine—in the forest; vinoda khelā—the loving pastimes; saṅgete—in the association; rākhālera melā—innumerable cowherd boys; tāṅdera—their; caraṇera dhulā—the dust from the feet; mākhaba go—I will smear.
Entering Vraja, I will become an ankle-bell on the feet of the gopīs and cause a sweet tinkling sound. I will watch the sporting pastimes of the cowherd boys in the forest of Vṛndāvana and smear the dust from their feet on my body.
rādhā-kṛṣṇera rūpa-mādhurī heraba du’nayana bhari
nikuñjera dvāre dvārī rahiba go
tomarā saba vrajavasī purā-o manera abhilāṣa-e
kabe śrī kṛṣṇera baṅśī śunaba go
rādhā-kṛṣṇera—of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa; rūpa-mādhurī—the sweet beauty; heraba—I will see; du—two; nayana bhari—to my eyes’ satisfaction; nikuṣjera—of the groves; dvāre—near the gates; dvārī—a gatekeeper; rahiba go—I will remain; tomarā saba—all of you; vrajavāsī—residents of Vṛndāvana; purā-o—fulfill; manera—of the mind; abhilāṣa-e—only desire; kabe—when will; śrī kṛṣṇera—of Lord Kṛṣṇa; baṅśī—the flute; śunaba go—I will hear.
I will see the sweet beauty of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa to my eyes’ satisfaction and I will stand as a guard at the gate of the groves of Vraja. O residents of Vraja! Please fulfill my desires and allow me to hear the sweet sound of Kṛṣṇa’s flute.
ei deha antima kāle rākhaba śrī-jamunāra jale
jaya rādhā govinda bale bhāsaba go
kahe narottama dāsa nā purila abhilāṣa
āra kabe vraje vāsa kareba go
ei deha—this body; antima kāle—at the time of death; rākhaba—will place; śrī-jamunāra—of the River Yamunā; jale—in the water; jaya rādhā govinda—all glories to Rādhā Govinda; bale—while chanting; bhāsaba go—will float; kahe—says; narottama dāsa—Narottama dāsa; nā purila—did not fulfill; abhilāṣa—desires; āra kabe—when will; vraje—in Vraja; vāsa karaba go—will reside.
At the time of giving up my body, I will simply place it in the waters of the Yamunā and float while chanting, “Jaya Rādhā Govinda.” Narottama dāsa laments thus, “My desires are not fulfilled. When will I reside in Vraja?”
