With fragrant attar, sandal paste, and vermilion, every limb is filled with the colors of Phalgun; beholding the enchanter of Cupid himself, the mind grows intoxicated, and surrounded by hundreds of young women, they sing the songs of Holi.
Some hold onto each other's garments, some tug at each other's necklaces; some stand entranced, their bodies overcome; some take up finger-rings, some take up the flute; from far away, some sing the songs of Holi.
