Anandakhya Stotra

Sri Krishna, supreme bliss, Govinda, the son of Nanda, dark and lustrous as a tamala tree, wearing a crown of peacock feathers;

clad in yellow silken garments, beautified by his sweet smile, possessing the loveliness of millions of Cupids, the very festival of Vrindavana forest;

his chest resplendent with the Vaijayanti garland, an excellent herding staff tucked at his side, delighting in the forest bowers, his throat charming with a cluster of gunja berries;

his ears graced by karnikara flowers, his complexion the hue of gold, skilled at playing the flute, the beloved of the cowherd women;

for whom the attainment of Radha is the greatest festival, ever devoted to worshipping her -- thus are told these twenty names of Sri Krishnachandra.

Whoever recites or hears this great hymn named Ananda attains the highest happiness, endowed with love for Krishna,

becomes dear to all the world, adorned with a host of good qualities, and attains nearness to the prince of Vraja.
