Sri Rupa Manjari Pada Sei Mora Sampada
śrī-rūpa-mañjarī-pada, sei mora sampada,
From Prarthana by Narottama Dasa Thakura.
Lalasa, longing, is the largest section in the whole of Prarthana at nine songs — larger than any other section in a book built otherwise almost entirely of one- and two-song units. Coming after several more narrowly titled longing-sections earlier in the book, this one reads as the fullest, least qualified statement of hankering in the whole sequence, before Prarthana narrows its focus again to more specific longings: those that befit a devotee still practising in this body (sadhaka-deha), then the longing to live in Vrndavana, then a longing, born of separation, for the sight of Krishna, under the heading Mathura-virahocita-darsana-lalasa.
