He who is eternally worshipable and glorious, to whom the demigods headed by Girisa and Brahma, having assumed human forms, show their affection; who teaches his own pure manner of worship to his devotees - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He who is the goal difficult even for the lords of the demigods to attain, the essence of the Upanishads, the entire wealth of the sages, sweetness itself to those who bow before him, and the very extract of the love of all the lotus-eyed cowherd girls - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He who bears a form unequaled anywhere in the universe, who is dear to Advaita, the shelter of the surrendered Srivasa, whose greatness produces the highest bliss - Hari, deliverer of the fallen, restless and overflowing with mercy for the king of Gajapati - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He whose form, blazing with the sweetness of ten million Cupids, overflows with rasa; the crest-jewel of the renunciants, whose robes shine like a mass of sunbeams, who by his own bodily luster outshines even a heap of gold - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He whose tongue loudly vibrates "Hare Krishna," whose hand is beautified by a knotted cord for counting the holy names, tied at the waist; wide-eyed, his two arms swinging like long door-bars - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He who, on the shore of the sea, gazes again and again at a row of trees, overwhelmed by love born of remembering the Vrndavana forest, his tongue sometimes racing to repeat "Krishna," relishing the mellow of devotion - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He who, beside the chariot of the Lord of Nilacala on the great procession road, is overcome by the surging waves of unlimited love into joyous dancing, his body surrounded by Vaishnavas singing in delight - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

He who drenches the earth all around with streams of tears, his body wrapped in thick hairs standing on end that surpass fresh kadamba filaments, his body soaked with profuse sweat, joyful in loud congregational chanting - will that Chaitanya again enter the path of my eyes?

Whatever fortunate soul, with a pure mind shining in trust, studies this most auspicious set of eight verses remembering Gauranga - at his pure lotus feet, in supreme bliss, may waves of prema at once and ever more fully arise.
