Vijñapti — Spiritual Request

From Saranagati by Bhaktivinoda Thakura.

Vijnapti, spiritual request, is a single-song section in Saranagati, standing apart from the book's ten other, larger sections. Its one song, Kabe Habe Bolo, asks when the singer's heart will finally be free of offense and infused with a genuine taste for the holy name — grounding its plea directly in trnad api sunicena, the verse on humility from Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's own Siksastaka, the eight verses recorded in the Chaitanya-caritamrta that stand behind much of Bhaktivinoda Thakura's devotional writing generally. The same song also appears, on this site, filed under a different book, Songs of Vaishnava Acaryas, in the chapter gathering Bhaktivinoda's work alongside other acaryas' — one more instance, after Gitavali's Udilo Aruna and Kalyana-kalpataru's Vibhavari Sesa, of a Bhaktivinoda song that circulated across more than one published collection.
