Sixteen songs of direct address to Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, structured as petitions rather than description — asking not to be abandoned, asking for a single moment of mercy, naming Him patita-pavana, purifier of the fallen — closer in form to the vijnapti, petition, sections found in Narottama dasa Thakura's and Bhaktivinoda Thakura's own songbooks elsewhere on this site than to the descriptive gaura-candrika that fills most of this particular book.
