What shall I say? You have descended to this world hundreds and hundreds of times. O Lord Gauaracandra, You are more dear to me than life.

Although You are Lord Visnu Himself descended to this world, You have become a beggar, begging the people to accept the gift of ecstatic spiritual love. Siva, Suka, and Narada are all Your followers and devotees.

When You descended as Lord Ramacandra to this world You built a bridge across the ocean. Even now Your glories as Ramacandra resound in this world.

In the Kali-yuga You have also built a bridge. That bridge is sankirtana, the chanting of the holy names. Stepping onto that bridge of sankirtana even the fools, lame, and blind can cross to the farther shore of the ocean of birth and death.

Who then is a man? Who then is a woman? Everyone in the fourteen worlds has become wild with the bliss of chanting Lord Gaura's glories.

अर्थ

As for myself, I have never studied the Vedas. I do not know anything about japa (mantras) or tapa (austerities). Vasudeva Ghosa says: O Lord Gauranga, please carry me to the farther shore of this ocean of birth and death.
