नदीया आकाशे आसि उदिल गौराङ्ग-शशी भासिल सकले कुतूहले लाजेते गगन-शशी माखिल बदने मसी काल पेये ग्रहणेर छले
अर्थ

When the moon of Lord Gaura rose in the sky of Nadiya, everyone floated in bliss. Embarrassed, the ordinary moon blackened his face with soot and pretended he was being eclipsed.

बामा-गण उच्च-स्वरे जय जय ध्वनि करे घरे घरे बाजे घण्टा शङ्ख दामामा दगड़ काँसि साना-इ भेम-उड़ बाँशी तूरी भेरी आर जयढाक
अर्थ

The women loudly chanted "Jaya! Jaya!" In home after home bells and conchshells were sounded. Damama trumpets, turi bugles, kamsi cymbals, sanais, and flutes all sounded. Dagada, bheuda, bheri, and jayadhaka drums were beaten.

अर्थ

Jagannatha Misra's heart was plunged in bliss. Saci's happiness had no end. Gazing at Nimai's face, she forgot the sufferings of giving birth. With unblinking eyes she gazed at her son's face.

ग्रहणेर अन्धकारे केह ना चिह्नेर करे देब नरे हइल मिशामिशि नदीया नगरी सङ्गे देब-नारी आसि रङ्गे हेरिछे गौराङ्ग रूप -राशि
अर्थ

In ther darkness of the eclipse no one could clearly see the nature of other persons. Disguised as ordinary men and women the demigods and goddesses came to Nadiya and gazed at Lord Gaura's handsome form.

पुत्रेर बदन देखि जगन्नाथ महा-सुखी करे दान दरिद्र सकले भुबन आनन्द-मय गौर-बिधु समुदय बसु कहे जीब-भाग्य-फले
अर्थ

Gazing at his son's face, Jagannatha Misra became joyful. He gave charity to all the poor. When the moon of Lord Gaura thus rose the world became filled with bliss. Vasudeva Ghosa says: Then the people of the world became truly fortunate. They attained the results of many past pious deeds.
