The Acaryas Songs Glorifying Lord Gauranga and Govinda

The Acaryas' Songs Glorifying Lord Gauranga and Govinda is, at 179 songs across ten chapters, one of the largest single collections on this site, and organised differently from most of the padavali books gathered elsewhere here: rather than grouping songs by the individual poet who wrote them, this book groups them by subject — Chaitanya Mahaprabhu's dancing, His ecstasy, His presence at Rathayatra, Nityananda Prabhu, Advaita Acarya, direct petitionary prayers, and Krishna under several of His Vrindavana names, closing with more formal Sanskrit astaka-poems on both Gauranga and Govinda. Almost none of the songs carry an individually attributed author; this is consistent with much of the wider padavali tradition, where a great many verses circulated and were transmitted without their original composer's name attached, gathered here instead by what each song is actually about.
